“We played an outstanding game and we gave it everything.”
United had a chance to equalise when Anthony Martial was denied by United keeper Chris Smalling.
But he saved well to deny Juan Mata, who headed wide when Martial’s shot was blocked.
United manager Jose Mourinho said he would not apologise for his players after losing 3-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Mourinho added: “We will not apologise and we will not move on.
It’s a very difficult game for us.
We can’t say this was a perfect game.

United are second in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Manchester City.
