The presumptive Republican presidential nominee told reporters Tuesday that the country is “not doing very well” with border security and immigration enforcement.
Trump has been making his case for the border wall for weeks.
He said the border “isn’t secure,” and “they have to go in there and secure it.”
But Trump also said the country needs to “get the border right.”
“We have a lot of bad, bad border agents, and they’re not getting paid very well, and I will get it back.
I’ll do it right,” he said.”

Trump has also called for the closure of some of the nation’s largest jails and prisons.
And the presumptive GOP nominee on Monday called for building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, saying he wants to “send a message to Mexico.”
“Mexico will pay for it, and you will pay to build the wall,” he told Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” program.
